I had a realization of what a kick ass life I live! The past several months have been spent in happiness and at times even ecstatic bliss as I've found beauty and enjoyment in almost everything. Over a month ago winter went away and transitions were made into spring and summer...I've wanted winter back. Still happy but missing the laughter of skiing, those I love, my BFF, the boy, the parties, the fun.
After work last night I decided to go for a road ride. After all, I had slept all evening the night before, I needed to work on my tan, and burn all the calories I had eaten while sitting at my desk yesterday...this could kill all of those "birds" with one stone. Not far from home and en route to the Ogden River Pathway I saw Amanda and her sister Catherine on their bikes. I joined them for the short ride to their house and then stopped for a popsicle...thanks you two! I left, elated that I had randomly encountered two people that I sincerely enjoy spending time with. I hopped on the bike path at Bingham's and headed west. Just after getting on the bike path I saw a long-haired dude approaching, closer, closer, TYBURSKY! It was good to see his smile and a grand reminder that I have friends here. When I got out to the 21st street pond I ran into (almost literally) Nick Parson who was practicing with his friend Tom. Nick is a pro water skier who skis for Goode Ski Technologies. He invited me to ride along in the boat with them....duh. Riding around with two hot water skiers in a ski boat, that's a no brainer. Nevermind that I was in spandex and a tank top with my amazingly discusting farmer tan, hahaha. It was as I was riding in the boat that I came to said realization, I live a good life!
