One for the record books

This weekend was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Dew Tour came to Snowbasin, the mountain I call home. Myself and some of my closest friends and coworkers were priveledged with VIP Access Zone Passes. I was treated like a queen.
The day began with a backstage tour of the half pipe. Jules, Amanda, Casey and myself suit up.
Amanda and Casey at the top of the pipe.

Practicing my "toe grab".

This was a nationally televised event.

Having the time of our lives.

Looking down the pipe from our backstage view during the practice runs.

Skis in the face on a practice run.

My skiing hero, Sarah Burke, as she finishes the run that won first place that day.

I wanna grow up to be like her.

Simon chillin' before a practice run through the slopestyle course.

Larger than life, truly.

At some point there had to be a bloody mary break.

Sunday wrapped up the tour with some good slopestyle finals.
The weekend as a whole was good for so many reasons. The competitions were cool. Meeting my hero, Sarah Burke, and having her hug me and sign my helmet was an experience beyond words...yes more wonderful than meeting Sarah Palin. What is it with people named Sarah???
