Flat Stanley came to work with me today. He was so excited when he saw pictures of Eli and his family hanging at my desk.

On Saturday Flat Stanley will be going skiing at Snowbasin so today he wanted to go shopping for new skis. I took him to the world's largest online outdoor retailer, Backcountry.com, to find the perfect pair of skis. Stanley couldn't believe all of the awesome outdoor gear that they have at Backcountry.com.

That's Stanley trying to pick out his new skis for Saturday. With all of those cool skis it was really hard to choose which ones he wanted. He ended up picking the green and pink ones on the left. They will be really good for going off of big jumps.

After he got his new skis, we took Stanley to the State Capitol building.

This is another picture of Stanley at the Utah State Capitol building. That's him playing around inside the "U" of Utah.

While we were showing Stanley around Temple Square he met these really cool sister missionaries. They were excited to find out that he's a Mormon. The sister on the left in the black jacket is from Houston, Texas so she and Stanley have a lot in common.

Stanley really wanted me to show him the Family History Center where I was finally able to find out how to contact Eli's mom.

Stanley was so excited to see the Salt Lake Temple! He was really glad that he got to see it at night when it is lit up, he thought it was very beautiful.

6 years ago in February of 2002 the Winter Olympics were in Salt Lake City. This gigantic picture of an ice skater is downtown and Stanley couldn't believe how big it was.

Finally, we took Stanley down to the Channel 2 news studio. He got to see the weather man through the window and he thought that was so cool! After he saw the studio it was way past Stanley's bedtime so we went home and put him to bed.
What a total party day flat Stanley had with you. I wish I could have been Flat Stanley.
