As most of you know I have been biking to work for the past couple of months due to an excessive amount of ambition and also the spike in gas prices which my frugal (aka "cheap") self refuses to pay for. My main mode of transportation became my old mountain bike that I had purchased when I was still in high school (over 6 years ago) and it was purchased from Target. It was one of the most expensive options they had at Target but still not a "real" bike. After all, according to Jaymee I have become Hardcore! But my little old Target mountain bike got me around for as long as I needed it to. I've been searching for a while for a new road bike which would offer faster and more efficient travel with less effort. Being new to the sport I hoped for a used bike that I could purchase for a relatively inexpensive price to ensure I would like it and utilize the purchase before buying a $1500 road bike. After months on Criag's List with no success I had given up and figured I would have to make the splurge on the nice expensive bike before I would ever have one of my own...then, in a day, my dreams came true!

There she was, listed on Craig's List right before my eyes. A red Schwinn World 10 speed that is most likely older than I am but she was so beautiful. I called the young man who had listed her for sale and he said that someone was coming to look at it that evening at 6 and if they didn't buy it I could come take a look. Hmm....I wasn't willing to take a chance on those hosers buying it when I knew she belonged with me so I called him back and offered him $70 instead of $60 AND the use of my Bro Code discount at Backcountry.com. He accepted the offer and told the other people it was SOLD!!! Boo yah! I could not wait for him to get off work at 6 that night so I could go pick up my new bike!
Unfortunately I haven't taken any pictures yet...I've spent too much time riding and not enough taking pictures! But I will post some soon because I know you're all DYING to see the beauty.
Dude! You ARE hardcore...and I don't know if you know this, but I am the official hardcore biker judge. Trust me you are up there! And I DEMAND pictures of this bike...stat!
