Promise me you'll always be free.

A weekend of pure bliss. I'm sorry you missed it. Friday fun began with a trip to the bike shop, an order of hot wings, and a nap. Morgano and I then headed to SLC for a thrift store shopping trip and a fun night with our dear friend Natalie when she was finished with her grown-up adult responsibilities called "work". When we met up with Nat it was instant laughs, standard operating procedure. We took Natalie to a few of the retro "Brooke and Jaymee Hotspots". Freaky Dee's, the honking tunnel (twice), Channel 2 10:00 news, Hobbitville. Just the usual.

Saturday for me was working in the busy Salomon Retail Store until 7:30pm. It was a great day. Surprisingly fast for the length of hours that I worked. Time is money. After work I did grown-up responsible things...paid bills, bought groceries, filled the Jeep with gas, etc.

Sunday was stellar, to say the least. I slept in, worked a little shift at the retail store, enjoyed cocktails and a tasty grilled dinner of steaks and baked potatoes with my friend Teresa and her husband Bill, and then headed off to the big SLC for a sleepover/sleepout at the Allen house. Though I arrived at nearly 11pm we partied hard for a couple more hours. There were lots of people of nearly every age and the vibe was great. It was a good place to be. I'm glad I was invited. At an early morning hour we decided to watch better off dead on the projector screen that was set up in the back yard where we were all camping out. So we fell asleep to a classic funny and slept under the stars.

Monday morning was caloric bliss. Our dear Naomi rose early and made waffles for an army. An army of young hungry people. She's great. The waffles were my favorite part of the day but taking a close second was Naomi dancing in the kitchen to "Waving Flag" by K'Naan while she made us waffles with love. The time quickly came for me to painfully tear myself away from the Allen party to return to Ogden for my last day of work at the retail store. Who knew leaving the fun would be so hard? Work in the retail store was busy and good. My evening was a relaxing one with pizza and an attempt to watch a movie. Instead I ate pizza and took a great, long nap.

Now here i sit. It's getting a bit late. I just watched the calendar on my desktop turn over to June first when the clock struck midnight. It's June already? Where did the time go? I'm glad it's going fast. I must be honest. I've frequently written about this in recent posts but June is a busy one. I'm looking forward to many new adventures. This week will be busy. Little Red Riding Hood is upon us. It begins tomorrow for me. Packet stuffing at Gardener Village. Wahoo. I have Wednesday and Thursday to pack and prepare for the weekend and then Friday at noon Morgano and I will go to Lewiston to volunteer our efforts in setting up the park for the par-tay.

Cowabunga dude!
