all you can do is try to know who your friends are as you head off to the war

sunday was weird. i didn't get drunk enough on saturday. i guess. or maybe i got too drunk. it's a fine line. so sunday morning a drive home from park city turned into a mini road trip/beer run to wyoming. had it not been sunday and the end of the weekend it would most definitely have been a moab day. the kind of moab day where nobody needs to know where i am. nobody but moab. that is.

the trip came to serve all of it's intended purposes. i saw some pretty stuff. enjoyed some sun. got to drive my new car for a relatively long distance. listened to some tunes. got some booze.

this was the scene between the opposing lanes of freeway traffic just outside of evanston. it used to be a camper trailer. not anymore.

and then there was this. for those times when you need moab. but you can't. there's always echo.

it was a pretty spectacular sight. reminded me why i live here. cause i've been wondering lately. but sunday i remembered.

there was also that time i was cruising down the highway at a healthy 80 mph. i came up on a government vehicle from behind. somewhat resembled a cop. i slowed. to avoid a citation. in case it was a cop. but it wasn't. just an escort. to a semi full of "explosives". holy shit.

then there was the moment that i arrived in evanston. i took the usual exit. headed to cowboy joes liquor barn. that's where i always go. but then. i saw something i couldn't resist. not even for cowboy joe's. it was a liquor store inside a farm and ranch store. how perfect. really. i went there just because i could. and because there aren't liquor stores in the farm and ranch stores in utah. god bless wyoming.

i came home with 3 cases of beer. all three are tastes that aren't sold in utah. so. i guess you could say the trip was a success. a complete success.
