hold on to what you believe

This song presented itself on today's at work playlist.  After some recent interactions, discoveries, and conversations it was cause for some pretty in depth reflection.  Searching.  What do I believe?
I believe in love
I believe that happiness and joy are the best parts of life
I believe that beauty is everywhere
I believe that I am a very lucky kid who is loved
I believe that most people are good
I believe that riding bikes the best form of excercise
I believe that Moab is the most beautiful place on earth
I believe I would vote Edward Abbey for president if he were still living
I believe its important for each of us to do our part to love the earth
I believe that recycling makes a difference
I believe that I can do hard things
I believe that I am okay
I believe I have many genuinely good human beings in my life and it will serve me well to be like them
I believe I've made mistakes
I believe I've made not-so-good choices
I believe that I believed a lot of things in search of acceptance and love
I believe that not all people are as they appear
I believe there are people who are selfish
I believe I'm worth it
I believe my best friend will be my best friend no matter what
I believe that some people think the world of themselves even when the world thinks nothing of them
I believe that skiing is good for the soul

I also believe:
"We all need hero's.

We all need something bigger than ourselves to believe in. Even if it is ourselves in a better/stronger place. We need hugs, we need love, we need friends to call out of the blue, and middle of the night text from family.

Humans that have the most walls are the ones that fall the hardest when they are given the opportunity to let go."
