things they are a changin'

who even sang that song?  thank you, whoever you are.  it's been in my head for the last few weeks.  and yes, things are really changing in my little world.

before i get into that however, i'd like to give the sincerest of shout outs to sleeping sturgis.  i'm happy you post every now and then.  i miss you and it's like a tiny little sliver of you.  :)  oh, and tell mark hi.

so a few weeks ago a few things transpired which led to the best of things.  chris asked me to move in with him.  my best day so far.  we'll be making the move over the next couple of months.  yay.

in other news, i've finally made a real commitment for once in my life.  i'm now going to the gym very early every morning before work.  i've been at it for just over a month now.  i feel awesome.  i'm losing a few lb's.  and on occasion chris has to remind me that it's ok to take a day off.  that's a sign of true hard work.  last week he gave me one of these:

i'd been wanting a fitness band since i started going to the gym regularly.  these came into stock at work and after i nerded out on forums and product reviews i told him i was going to order one.  he bought it for me instead.  words can't express how much i adore that man.

lastly, tomorrow i begin a marathon of jouneys.  first, chris, kenai, goose, and i head to Kanab in southern utah with chris's parents for a volunteering vacation at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.  without question, this will be my most favorite trip of the whole year.  we will volunteer our time with the bunnies, pigs, and doggies.  i can't wait.  i could use a little peace, serenity, and quiet for a few days.  we'll return from Kanab early next week and then enjoy a few days off to work on our houses.  on saturday the 22nd kenai and i will load up without the rest of our clan (this will feel empty and wrong) for a trip to minnesota to celebrate the retirement of one of our favorites.  i will be so sad to see her go, which is why i couldn't miss the opportunity to show her how much we love her by being there for her big day.  i'll probably cry but there will be far more laughter than tears.  there always is.  we'll spend two weeks in minnesota.  two weeks seems like a really long time, especially to be away from chris and goose and peter....but my time there always passes with lightening speed.  i'm sure this time will be no different.

well, that's all the new for now.  until next time......
